Our job fair has transitioned into a work-based learning fair for our high schoolers looking for class credit by shadowing at a local business or nonprofit.
Batesville High School’s Work-Based Learning = More Informed Career Path Decisions for Our Students
BCEF was proud to sponsor the first Work-Based Learning Fair, held in May 2025, giving next year’s juniors and seniors a chance to meet some of the employers, organizations, and school buildings they would have the opportunity to shadow at and learn from during the 2025-26 school year for class credit.Before the fair, students had to prepare a professional business card, describing their career pathway interests, top skills and strengths, and communication style. After visiting the tables that interested them, students could leave one of their business cards at their top picks. Employers and organizations, in turn, also took note of their top student choices.
