BCEF is sponsoring the Art on Main mural project in downtown Batesville again this year. This program features artwork from students from the four BCSC buildings on a rotating basis. The Batesville Intermediate School’s entry was just installed on the side of The Simons Company building at the corner of Main and George Streets.
Alexis Schiller, a fifth grader at BIS, created the piece by coloring the globe with colored pencils and painting the background with watercolors.
BCEF wants to thank BIS art teacher Olivia Branch for her help with this program. In addition, Jimmy Rowland from Rowland Graphics donated his time to install the mural and Nick Maple, owner of the building, donated the use of his location for the display. Jama Linkel-Cleghorn from the BCEF board of directors is the coordinator of this program.
